I think I just achieved a sort of oral Nirvana. I ate a pack of peat-smoked scallops from The Hebridean Smokehouse. It was like being ravished on a remote windswept beach by a gorgeous fisherman ( a He-bride perhaps?) with the smoke from a bonfire drifting gently over you and making you feel slightly stoned. All sort of scallopy and melty and sweet and just delightful. Also reduced from £8.99 to £2.99 in the Waitrose in the John Lewis in Oxford St.
